Frequently Asked Questions

We have provided answers to some of our most asked questions. If you do not find the answer you are looking for, please call our office.

  • What should I wear?

The Crossing Community is a place of comfort, our worship service is an "experience with God", and experiencing God is not based on fashion. Comfortable, casual, and with a heart of reverence.
  • Do I have to give?

We believe that giving comes from the heart. "We give nothing from the pocket that does not come from the heart". Giving is based on you. We are a church that believes in giving back to God, which is our tithe, symbolic of how God continues to show love, show us mercy, and grace in an unmerited way. We are a tithing church based on scripture Malachi 3:8-12, and 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.
  • What do I have to bring?

Bring a bible and a pen, we will provide a lesson plan with each sermon. Bring an open heart expecting to learn and hear words from God. And, of course, bring a friend!
  • Will I be singled out as a visitor?

You are welcomed in a non-threatening manner, we pride ourselves in Hospitality. We believe all God’s people are family we have met. You will be extended an open door invitation, meaning you are always welcomed, not pressured.
  • How long is the service?

Service typically lasts about one hour. Special occasions, holidays and services involving communion may last slightly longer.
  • How early should I arrive?

Allow a half hour, especially if you're checking in children or visiting for the first time. Our Hospitality Room is open beginning at 10:00 AM.
